Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the construction of 40 air-conditioned restrooms for delivery riders at key locations across the emirate, Gulf News reported.
This initiative is part of an effort to improve the quality of life and provide essential services and comfort to delivery riders while they wait for new orders. It also aims to reduce the risk of road accidents and encourage compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman and Director General of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, stated that the implementation of these restrooms will create a safe and comfortable environment for delivery riders.
He added that each restroom features an air-conditioned seating area for up to 10 riders, depending on the location, with designated parking spaces for motorcycles adjacent to the rest area.
